Breast Lift

Breast lift refers to a series of cosmetic procedures that are done to lift or change the shape of a woman’s breasts. The procedure might require moving the areola and the nipple. Other procedures include lifting the breast tissue or removing the skin. Breast lift, also known as mastopexy, alone can be done. When the procedure involves implants, it is called breast augmentation. Breast lifts are done to reposition the breasts, giving women a more youthful feel. This can be done to correct saggy and droopy breasts, making them firmer and shapelier. This will boost women’s self- esteem, and will make them feel better about themselves.
There are two types of breast lifts: the full breast lift, and the modified breast lift. The former involves removal of the skin and repositioning the areola. This approach allows the maximum level of change on the breasts. The latter is intended to provide the same results, but with less incisions, thus, less scars.
This procedure will work best on people who have small and droopy breasts. However, women with large breasts can go through it, too. The effects, though, do not last as long as those with small breasts. Also, they do not benefit just as much.
There are other strict criteria that women should consider and follow. The ideal age is at least 18 years old. The older, the better. Breast lift is recommended for people who have stretched skin, and those who have less breast volume than their normal. It is of utmost importance that a woman is not pregnant or undergoing breastfeeding. Of course, it is a must that the woman is in the best health.
If you want to improve your look and your breasts, then you can try breast lift. Take it easy on the expectations, though. The procedure is a not a miracle- worker, and do not overestimate it. Your emotions play a role, too. You must be emotionally stable to undergo this enhancement.
There are a lot of ways to do the breast lift. But the most common technique involves making three incisions, forming the shape of an anchor. This will make it possible for the surgeon to remove the excess skin, fat, and tissue in the breast. The areola and nipple will be moved, too. After that, the skin is tightened and drawn together to shape the breast.
Another technique is the “doughnut” uplift procedure. This involves making a series of circular incisions around the areola. This is done to women who have smaller and less droopy breasts.
An anesthesia with a sedative will be injected, in place of the general anesthesia. Either procedure can last for one to three hours, depending on the technique used.
